About the opportunity:
Job Role: UX/UI Designer
Location: Onsite, 5 days/Week in office in: ( Pittsburgh, PA 15222)
Duration: 6 Months (until December 31st 2026) with Possible extension / possible FTE conversion
Working Hours : 8 AM
-5 PM core hours
Contract Type - W2
Job Description:
The team is building 2 new applications for us. This person is going to build the front end UI screens; they would provide us the design.
Roles and Responsibilities:
UX Design Expertise
- Strong experience in designing intuitive, user-centric digital experiences across web and enterprise applications.
- Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, usable designs.
- Hands-on expertise in Figma is required.
- Experience with other UX tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within shared design systems and component libraries.
- Proficient in creating low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups.
- Demonstrated ability to iterate designs quickly based on stakeholder and user feedback.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front-end principles to ensure design feasibility and smoother handoff to engineering teams.
- Ability to collaborate closely with developers to align on implementation constraints.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly to product owners, engineering teams, and leadership.
- Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning and iterative delivery.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing for inclusive user experiences.
- Awareness of regulatory and risk considerations in enterprise environments is a plus.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process, from research and ideation to wireframes, prototypes, and final UI designs.
Must have technical skills/experience:
- Hands-on expertise in Figma
- UX Design Expertise
- Wire framing & Prototyping
- Basic Front-End Knowledge
- Accessibility & Compliance (Enterprise Focus) - Understand WCAG accessibility standards
Provide Portfolio
Nice to have Skills:
- Adobe XD, Sketch, In Vision
- Experience in Agile environments
Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role:
- Collaboration - Experience in Agile environments (sprints, iterative delivery)
- Communication - Present design ideas clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Education/ Certification:
- HS Degree or higher
- UX Design certifications a plus
Experience:
- 3-5 years
Interview Process:
- 1st round - ~45 minutes
- Optional 2nd round (If needed)
