The role requires a hands-on, technically strong individual who can work across data, systems, and regulatory requirements to deliver scalable automation and high-quality reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Reporting Automation & Data Management (Primary Focus)
- Design, develop, and enhance automated data pipelines and reporting processes supporting key regulatory reports (e.g., FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, TIC, FR 009).
- Perform data analysis, reconciliations, and variance investigations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of regulatory reporting data.
- Translate regulatory reporting requirements into data and system solutions in partnership with subject matter experts.
- Support development and enhancement of reporting logic within Axiom or similar regulatory reporting platforms.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen data quality, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Contribute to documentation of data lineage, business rules, and control frameworks to support audit and regulatory expectations.
Post-Conversion / Integration Support (Secondary Focus)
- Support targeted data cleanup and remediation activities following prior acquisition integrations.
- Validate and reconcile legacy and integrated data to ensure alignment with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Partner with technology and data teams to resolve outstanding integration-related issues impacting reporting.
General Support & Collaboration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, data, and regulatory reporting teams to support system enhancements and issue resolution.
- Execute and document testing (QA/UAT) to validate changes impacting regulatory reporting outputs.
- Support broader regulatory reporting initiatives, including remediation efforts, control enhancements, and strategic projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, transform, and analyze large datasets.
- Experience in data analysis, reconciliations, and QA/testing in a financial or data-intensive environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively across business, data, and technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with bank regulatory reporting (e.g., FFIEC 031, FR Y-9C, FR Y-15, TIC, FR 009 or similar).
- Familiarity with Axiom or other regulatory reporting platforms.
- Working knowledge of Python for data automation, analysis, or testing.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, data lineage, and source-to-target mapping.
- Understanding of regulatory reporting controls, governance, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience supporting data cleanup, remediation, or post-integration activities.
