Machine Learning Scientist

My Pittsburgh biotech client is expanding and seeks a Machine Learning Scientist to enhance drug discovery and development efforts. The ideal candidate will take on the following tasks:

• Analyze biological datasets by creating and implementing machine learning models.
• Implement metrics to verify model and algorithm effectiveness.
• Automate model training, testing, and deployment.
• Develop analytical tools for the management of pre-clinical and clinical datasets.
• Prepare reports, publications, and presentations for internal and external partners.
• Keep up with emerging trends in ML, DL, and NLP.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

• PhD and 2+ years applying ML algorithms to high-dimensional datasets.
• Working knowledge of bioinformatics and biological concepts, as well as ML, DL, and NLP.
• Proficient in Python/R scripting.
• Expertise in ML/DL frameworks like Pytorch, Tensor Flow, and others.
• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, production-ready code.
• Experience with GIT, AWS, SQL and scRNAseq is desired.
