10 is currently seeking a Head of Cloud & AI Infrastructure - consultant-to-hire position with a Financial Services Company located in Pittsburgh, PA.

Candidates who are near an existing office hub will be given first preference although 100% Remote Canadidates will be considered. Preferred Locations:
Pittsburgh, PA., Horsham, PA., Lake Mary, FL., Woodbury, NY, Salt Lake City, UT, Wilmington, DE. We are seeking a transformative Cloud and Infrastructure leader for an initial consulting engagement with the potential to transition into a permanent senior leadership position. During the consulting phase, this individual will assess the current infrastructure landscape, define the future-state strategy, establish a prioritized transformation roadmap, and begin executing critical cloud and AI infrastructure initiatives.

The consultant will design resilient enterprise solutions that balance performance, reliability, security, scalability, and cost. Responsibilities:
Assess the current cloud, on-premises, network, platform, and AI infrastructure environments Provide hands-on strategic and technical leadership across complex enterprise cloud and infrastructure environments, with a focus on improving uptime, scalability, resilience, and reliability Establish standards and governance for hybrid and multi-cloud workload placement Accelerate the adoption of cloud-native patterns, including microservices, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies Develop and implement cost-efficient cloud consumption strategies in partnership with Fin Ops Design, build, and support scalable on-premises AI clusters utilizing open-source models, frameworks, and deployment engines Partner closely with AI and machine learning engineering teams to optimize cloud, compute, storage, hardware, and network topologies Drive a culture of Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, standardization, and continuous improvement Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to align cloud and AI infrastructure strategies with governance requirements Present infrastructure strategy, investment recommendations, risks, and performance results to both technical and executive audiences Requirements:
Ten or more years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, platform engineering, or data center operations At least five years of experience in a senior technology leadership role with responsibility for infrastructure strategy, engineering teams, transformation programs, or enterprise platforms Experience operating in an advisory, consulting, interim leadership, or transformation-focused capacity is strongly preferred A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred Deep knowledge of one or more major public cloud ecosystems—AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Demonstrated success leading large-scale legacy data center migrations or infrastructure transformations involving hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud environments Proven ability to assess an existing enterprise infrastructure environment and translate findings into an actionable strategy and transformation roadmap Advanced experience with enterprise Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform Strong knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem, including cluster management, container security, orchestration, and lifecycle management

Experience with service mesh architectures and technologies such as Istio or Linkerd Demonstrated understanding of cloud financial management, capacity planning, cost allocation, and Fin Ops practices Experience designing or supporting infrastructure for AI/ML model training and inference workloads Strong executive and technical communication skills A consultative leadership style that enables rapid assessment, builds stakeholder confidence, and converts strategic recommendations into executable plans Pay range: $105 - $115 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis
