Sign Language Interpreter for an 8-week assignment in or near Dover, Pennsylvania. Provides real-time interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during school hours. Works within a team to ensure equal access to educational content.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide sign language interpretation services to students during school hours.
- Facilitate communication between students and staff to ensure equal access to educational content.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and interpreting standards.
- Collaborate with educators to support student learning needs.
- Document and report any concerns or issues related to interpretation services.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed certification in Sign Language Interpretation.
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
- Valid license in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Sign Language Interpretation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Background check clearance.
- Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and ability to work with deaf/hard-of-hearing populations.
