Description

A highly respected national law firm with more than 65 years of history is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant for its Pittsburgh office. The firm has over 300 attorneys and represents a diverse client base that includes large companies, insurers, financial institutions, healthcare systems, and public entities.

This is a critical, high-visibility role supporting a senior commercial litigation partner in a trial-heavy practice. The position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, and is ideal for a experienced litigation detail oriented who thrives in a fast-paced, traditional law firm environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

- Prepare legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and filings

- Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support

- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and daily workflow

- Coordinate conference calls, meetings, and video conferences

- Handle mailings and large-scale document projects

- Open and close client matters and maintain client files

- Submit expense reports, check requests, and administrative forms

- Coordinate with Office Services on document production

- Monitor voicemails and answer phones as needed

- Copying, scanning, and document management

- Provide general administrative and legal support to attorneys and firm as needed

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

- 5-8+ years of commercial litigation experience at a major law firm strongly preferred

- Strong experience supporting trial-heavy litigation practices

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Exceptional organization and attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of legal terminology and state/federal court procedures

- Proficiency with electronic court filing

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe

- Experience with document management systems (iManage preferred)

- Strong skills with redlining, track changes, tables of authorities, and tables of contents

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

- Demonstrated job stability preferred
