Legal Assistant

Description

Our client is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys and legal teams in a fast-paced, collaborative law firm environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the center of a practice, managing priorities, and delivering polished work while partnering closely with attorneys and legal support professionals.

Requirements

+ Support multiple attorneys with day-to-day administrative and practice-specific needs

+ Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents and correspondence with precision

+ Manage electronic and hard-copy files using the firm's document management systems

+ Coordinate workflow, track assignments, and ensure deadlines are met

+ Handle billing support, including prebills, approvals, and follow-up

+ Collaborate with other legal support professionals and provide guidance to junior staff as needed

+ Serve as a trusted point of contact, handling sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism

What we're looking for

+ 2+ years of experience in a legal or professional services environment

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with law firm technology (iManage, Aderant, or similar)

+ Comfortable adapting to new tools, including AI-powered legal technology

+ Clear, professional communication skills and a service-oriented mindset

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
