Litigation Paralegal

The Halpern Law Firm, LLC, based in Bryn Mawr, PA, specializes in representing mesothelioma victims in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For over 30 years, the firm, led by David Halpern, has been actively fighting for the rights of victims of asbestos exposure. With a track record of investigating, litigating, and settling numerous mesothelioma and asbestos lung cancer cases, the firm is dedicated to seeking justice for those affected.

As a Litigation Paralegal at The Halpern Law Firm, you will be an important team member in helping manage the cases of our clients. This is a hands-on role, where you will be both managing, following up, and completing assignments.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare, file, and serve documents with federal courts electronically

- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meets, interviews, and depositions

- Maintain attorney’s calendars

- Request records of our clients in a timely manner

- Send correspondence to clients, defense counsel, etc.

- Follow up with other staff members and attorneys on the status of cases

- Maintain organization of multiple cases

Qualifications & Skills:

- 2+ years of related experience

- Strong oral and written skills

- Must be comfortable speaking with a diverse group of people & able to work with all levels of staff

- Experience at a law firm preferred

- Must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines

- Knowledge of Asbestos Litigation a plus

- Paralegal certification or degree a plus.

Location: Remote, reside in Pittsburgh region

Salary: Starting at $45k commensurate with experience
