Hybrid 4 days onsite in Pittsburgh, PA
Our client seeks a Project Manager / Strategic Sourcing professional to lead sourcing and contracting for corporate real estate construction and office renovation projects. The role will run end-to-end RFPs for construction management firms, negotiate AIA-based agreements, and manage contract execution through procurement systems. The position partners closely with Real Estate, Facilities, and Corporate Services leaders and focuses on commercial strategy, supplier selection, and GMP negotiations rather than construction execution.
The environment is fast-paced with multiple concurrent initiatives across a sizable project portfolio.
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:- Lead RFP processes to select construction management firms for commercial office renovation and workplace transformation projects.
- Negotiate AIA construction agreements, including A101, A201, and A134, and manage contract execution through procurement systems.
- Support GMP agreement negotiations after subcontractor selection.
- Manage procurement activities for initiatives ranging from approximately $1M to $40M+.
- Run multiple concurrent initiatives, including several active RFPs and contracts across a portfolio of projects.
- Partner with Real Estate, Facilities, Legal, Finance, and senior leadership to align commercial strategy with project goals.
- Drive consistent contracting approaches, governance, clause management, and lifecycle compliance.
- Identify and qualify suitable construction vendors and support supplier frameworks.
- Strong sourcing and procurement background focused on construction.
- Extensive experience leading construction-related RFPs and commercial negotiations.
- Mandatory experience reviewing and negotiating AIA A101, A201, and A134 agreements.
- Understanding of commercial office renovation projects and construction delivery models.
- Experience working directly with construction management firms and knowledge of regional contractor markets.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Experience with contract lifecycle and procurement tools such as Ivalua and Sirion preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
