Position Summary:

The Debt Settlement Negotiation Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s debt negotiation operations to ensure maximum settlement success rates and client satisfaction. This role involves managing a team of negotiators, establishing best practices for creditor outreach, and ensuring compliance with all industry regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of creditor relationships, and proven experience in debt settlement negotiation. They will be accountable for tracking team performance, coaching negotiators to improve settlement outcomes, and collaborating with other departments to enhance operational efficiency. This role is essential in driving company revenue, maintaining creditor relationships, and ensuring that clients achieve their financial resolution goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of debt negotiators, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies to maximize settlement success rates.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with creditors, collection agencies, and legal representatives.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, settlement timelines, and portfolio outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales, enrollments, and client services teams to ensure a smooth client experience.
  • Resolve escalated negotiation issues and serve as the primary point of contact for complex creditor matters.
  • Interview prospective candidates to evaluate skills, experience, and suitability for open positions.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ of experience as a debt settlement negotiator and/or account manager, with a proven track record of successful settlements.
  • Proven leadership experience in debt settlement, collections, or related financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of creditor negotiation processes and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in Salesforce CRM, with the ability to efficiently navigate, update, and manage records to support daily operations & reporting.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • A proven track record of success in achieving sales goals and increasing revenue is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
