Material Handler Full Time Hours 11:00pm-7:30am Specific Responsibilities
- Break down incoming bulk shipments of materials for storage and/or use for immediate production requirements in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Clean flexible feel lines, hoses and various machinery, including blow molding machines, grinders, blenders, regrind bins, and material hoppers at the completion of each job to ensure that no material contamination occurs.
- Check feed lines periodically to ensure the flow of proper material to each machine as outlined in the Daily Master Production Schedule.
- Identify and properly use production resins and concentrates.
- Correctly select from stock, and where required, accurately create “mixes” of plastic materials and additives for each production run as specified in customer requirements and DPG production order.
- Correctly connect vacuum loaders, material lines, hoses and other systems to correctly convey proper raw materials to each production machine for processing.
- Gather post industrial materials from the production floor using hand truck/cart. Separate materials as required, properly identify by labeling and place materials in proper area for storage, or disposal or use. Weigh all post industrial materials and record all necessary information on appropriate departmental forms.
- Grind rejected product and other materials using proper grinders.
- Assure that material mixing bins and Gaylords remain filled with proper material(s) at all times.
