Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Operator I – Crum/Ridley Creek Treatment Plants

Position located at Crum Creek Water Treatment Plant, with possible travel to Ridley Creek Plant. Requires shift work and permanent shift as openings occur.

• Obtain and maintain a Waterworks Operators Class A license within 3 years of hire.
• Operate treatment plants after meeting experience requirements.
• Perform mechanical repair and replacement of plant equipment (pumps, instruments, chemical feed equipment, etc.).
• Conduct mathematical calculations for chemical dosing based on flow rates and treatment requirements.
• Adhere to all Aqua safety protocols, including hazardous chemical handling and PPE.
• Perform labor‑intensive tasks, lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Provide overtime support to maintain continuous plant operations.

• Associate degree, 2 years trade school, or equivalent education; or 2 years of relevant experience requiring mechanical, treatment, and/or mathematical skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Commercial Driver’s License (Class
  
  C) with Hazardous Material endorsement; must obtain CDL within the specified period (60 days for a learner’s permit, 120 days for a full CDL). Failure to obtain CDL will result in reassignment to a non‑CDL position.
• May be required to serve as a member of the Hazmat Response Team if a team is maintained.
• Capable of following periodic drug and alcohol testing, safety medical examinations, and other regulatory compliance requirements.

Hourly rate: $38.91. Employees may receive wage adjustments under the bargaining unit agreement. The company offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package.
