Manufacturing Engineer Technician (MET)

Location: West Chester, PA

Shift Availability: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts Available

Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 annually or $30–$45/hour (based on experience)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Technician (MET) to join a dynamic manufacturing team supporting CNC programming, process development, machine setup, troubleshooting, first article validation, and production support.

This is a highly technical, hands-on position that takes a part from an engineering drawing or CAD model through CNC programming, prove-out, first article approval, and production release. This is not solely a programming role or an engineering-only role
—it requires a combination of both technical and manufacturing expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • CNC Programming & Process Development
  • Create CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Develop machining strategies for efficient production.
  • Convert engineering drawings and CAD models into production-ready programs.
  • Select appropriate tooling and machining processes.
  • Optimize cycle times and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Setup, Prove-Out & Production Release
  • Perform machine setups.
  • Prove out new CNC programs.
  • Validate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues.
  • Release validated jobs into production.
  • Manufacturing Support
  • Provide technical support to machinists.
  • Drive continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC programming.
  • Hands-on CAD/CAM programming experience.
  • Machine setup experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
