Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic Microsoft Excel skills. Nice to Have

Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in Drafting, CAD, Manufacturing Technology, or related field. Experience with CAD/CAM software and material nesting software. Experience programming CNC plasma tables, laser cutting equipment, or press brakes. Experience in a fabrication, sheet metal, steel processing, or manufacturing environment. Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
Job Description:
A leading industrial manufacturing organization in Pittsburgh is seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer to support fabrication and production operations. This individual will create CNC programs and nesting layouts that maximize material utilization and improve manufacturing efficiency. Duties &
Responsibilities Include:
Create CNC programs for plasma cutting equipment using AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software. Develop daily nesting plans to maximize material utilization and reduce scrap. Generate CNC files for plasma cutting, plate rolling, and press brake operations. Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication prints. Monitor and manage drop-material inventory to improve material usage efficiency. Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP inventory records.
Partner with fabrication and production teams to prioritize work and maintain machine productivity. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and waste reduction. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while supporting production schedules.
