Press Brake Operator

Job Summary

KMS, A Sheet Metal Fabrication facility is looking for reliable, experienced candidates to set-up, program and operate hydraulic press brakes to bend sheet metal to drawing specifications.

Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive Motion Function in the Job Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Complete machine set-up and operation of assigned jobs from work instructions and blueprints.

First piece and incremental inspections as well as second person verification on set-up pieces.

Completing quality check sheets with each job. Perform all duties with a SAFETY-FIRST mentality.

Performs operator daily maintenance of machine and tooling as required.

Ability to follow instructions and follow safety guidelines.

Arriving on time and ready to work scheduled shift.

Previous experience a must.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Read and comprehend the production schedule, work instructions, blue prints and routers for the job.

Strong knowledge of measruing devices such as protractors, calipers, height guages, etc.

Strong attention to detail.
