North Abdominal Transplant! About the Unit: 11 North at UPMC Montefiore is a 22-bed Step-down Unit specializing in the care of patients undergoing liver, kidney, pancreas, and intestinal transplants in addition to other complex abdominal surgeries. As a nurse on 11 North, you will become an expert on post-operative transplant patient care, transplant medications, and multifaceted patient/family education. 11 North is a dynamic patient and family-focused unit where we promote a culture of kindness, caring, and teamwork.

We strive to ensure that patients and families have a positive experience on 11 North. This is reflected in our high patient satisfaction scores. Our Registered Nurses work rotating shifts including weekends/holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.

The final job title and rate of pay will be based upon both individual qualifications and candidate choice. Any required certifications and contributions based on job title will be afforded a timeframe to obtain. The minimum rate of pay for a non-BSN Professional Staff Nurse is $37.00. We also offer a pay differential to candidates that complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and become a BSN prepared nurse.
