Clinical Research Nurse Sr.
- BMT and Immune Effector Cellular Therapy - Center City
Serves as departmental and disease team resource for research protocol initiation and implementation. Performs basic nursing skills, study coordination and data management, with a central focus on managing subject recruitment and enrollment, consistency of study implementation, data management and integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting. May attend leadership meetings and advisory groups. Assists in the development of workflows, SOPs and guidance documents.
Works closely with the clinical team to bridge the gap between clinical and research protocols.
- Maintains a lab database of technical and animal protocols, and other key resources. Keeps accurate records of reagents.
- Troubleshoots experimental design malfunctions and implements solutions, interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers for adjustments and repairs.
- Instructs research students on specialized techniques and complex protocols; participates in intra-collegial presentations and meetings.
- Maintains lab equipment including the development of SOP for use and care of equipment, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
- Processes all purchase orders, requests for payment, acting as primary contact for vendors; tracks service request forms and enters into database; develops and processes monthly billings of RTP activity; monitors TJU expenses; obtains bids for equipment and large supply orders as needed; plans large purchases; maintains records of transactions.
- Assists graduate students and other lab personnel to help them perform experiments.
- Runs cell culture and electrophysiology protocols as directed by engineering and laboratory directors.
- Assists research personnel in preparing result tables, figures and text summarizing results of experiments.
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. BSN Preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of RN clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Clinical research experience preferred.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License RequirementsPA RN License
Additional Information- Practices nursing within the established policies and procedures of the Nursing Department of Thomas Jefferson.
- May collect and process specimen tissue to be analyzed by technical personnel.
- Works in collaboration with research team, participates in identification, development, implementation and evaluation of specific goals and objectives.
- Supports administration in adherence to protocol guidelines.
- Collects and assists in organizing data for the research team.
