Primary Responsibilities:
A nursing student or graduate of an accredited school of nursing who does not have a temporary practice permit who, under supervision of the professional nurse, carries out routine patient care assignments, works in controlled care situations and performs established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients. This position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.
- Work under the supervision of the professional nurse
- Carry out routine patient care assignments, and work in controlled care situations and performs established nursing procedures for individual or groups of patients.
- Demonstrates accountability for assigned patients on shift or assignment.
- Perform vital signs measurement:
- Temperature
- Pulse
- Respiration
- Blood pressure
- Pulse oximetry readings
- Record on patient chart.
- Monitor intake and output.
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital
- Must be an Active Registered Nursing Student
- Must have active BLS
- Must have proof of Completed Medical Surgical Clinical
- Must be able to work 16 hours bi-weekly
- Must be able to work every other week
