THE POSITION:

As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will conduct a wide range of indoor and outdoor maintenance and construction activities at Ridley Creek State Park. Assignments involve carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and other trades to repair structures and facilities and to install or replace equipment and amenities. You will safely operate park vehicles and equipment and assist with the care, maintenance, and upkeep of equipment.
Grounds maintenance includes mowing, weeding, planting, trash removal, restroom maintenance, debris management, and maintaining proper signage throughout the park. You will also perform general housekeeping and maintenance of park facilities, including cleaning and stocking restrooms, shower houses, offices, and pavilions. Courteous communication may be used to assist park visitors by providing information in a friendly and helpful manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. The season runs approximately March 2026 through November 2026, with the employee placed on leave without pay and later returned to employment in March 2027.
- Work schedule will vary and is 5 days/37.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute lunch. Some work may be scheduled on weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent is required.
Other Requirements:
