Veterinarian Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $120,000–$140,000 per year

Veterinarian Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania
- USDA APHIS accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- DEA license (or willingness to apply)
- Experience or strong interest in shelter medicine and high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter (HQHVSN) surgery
- Commitment to animal welfare mission and values
Veterinarian Preferred Background & Skills
- Interest or experience in community outreach and humane investigations
- Experience mentoring veterinary staff, students, or volunteers
- Familiarity with digital radiography, in-house lab work, or modern shelter management software
Veterinarian Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide medical and surgical care for shelter animals, public clinic patients, and wildlife
- Perform spay/neuter surgeries, dentistry, diagnostics, and HQHVSN procedures
- Develop and implement high-standard treatment protocols
- Mentor and support veterinary team members, students, and volunteers
- Participate in community programs, mobile clinics, and public outreach events
- Collaborate with external partners to improve overall animal care and outcomes
