We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to develop, maintain, and optimize coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs in support of our Corporate Metrology Lab and global manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PC‑DMIS (preferred) or other CMM programming platforms, as well as 3D scanning experience using Poly Works. This role ensures measurement accuracy, supports inspection teams, and contributes to continuous improvement in dimensional verification processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, validate, and maintain CMM programs for the Corporate Metrology Lab and multiple manufacturing locations.
- Program 3D scanning workflows utilizing Poly Works for part inspection, reverse engineering, and dimensional reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to define measurement strategies and inspection plans.
- Provide hands‑on support and guidance to inspectors, including:
- Training on running CMM and 3D scanning programs
- Assisting with interpretation of dimensional data and reports
- Evaluate and troubleshoot measurement issues, program errors, or system deviations.
- Maintain documentation, program revision control, and best practices for global CMM use.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement efficiency and repeatability across all sites.
- High School diploma
- Experience programming CMMs using PC‑DMIS (preferred).
- Experience with Poly Works for 3D scanning and point‑cloud inspection.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology principles, and dimensional analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Effective communication and training skills with inspection and production teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis ability.
