Technical and Quality Leader

Location: Three Bakers, Moscow, PA

Position: FSQA Manager

Reports To: Head of Manufacturing

Schedule: 8am-4pm Monday - Friday

Job Summary

The Technical and Quality Leader is responsible for ensuring food safety and quality systems are in place and compliant, with policies and procedures being adhered to within all Business Operations. This role will work closely with all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspects the quality of a product, process, or service
  • Ensures GMP’s are being adhered to at all times, all paperwork is completed correctly, and stored as required
  • Tests products, equipment and processes. Analyzes testing results and takes corrective action, as needed
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures and conduct agreed frequency audits of all internal and external facility areas
  • Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of ingredients to ensure gluten free specifications are met
  • Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of food products to ensure finished product quality
  • Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
  • Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
  • Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Manage risk assessment within the department
  • Responsible for document management systems
  • Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
  • Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stretching, and movement within the production area.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Food Safety related degree
  • SQF Practitioner, preferably advanced level
  • HACCP

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Quality related leadership role, within a food manufacturing environment
  • Participation and lead of SQF and other regulatory agencies
Skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety and quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
