Laboratory Research Technician
The Department of Radiology is seeking a Research Technician. The primary locations of this position are Scaife Hall and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. This position will function as a Research Technician in a laboratory focused on molecular imaging of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases using small animals (primarily mice).
Responsibilities include:
- conducting cell biology laboratory experiments
- maintaining mice colony (e.g., breeding, genotyping, keeping records) and performance of procedures
- administrative tasks (ordering, maintenance of inventories)
Biology degree is preferred.
Job Summary:
Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
Essential Functions:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
