The Mellon College of Science (MCS) is home to four departments and many programs and research centers that cross disciplines. We approach scientific problems from fresh angles using creative interdisciplinary approaches while drawing on our departmental strengths in the core sciences. MCS faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for their research in a variety of fields, including polymer science, cosmology, mathematical finance, and neuroscience.
The Kurnikova Lab in the Department of Chemistry is seeking a short-term Research Assistant. This role will be responsible for performing molecular dynamics simulations using AMBER and Desmond software programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing molecular dynamics simulations on ANTON3 computer using AMBER and Desmond software
- Responsible for analyzing data and writing papers
- Follows research plans in order to collect, record, and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records and files.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Previous research experience preferred.
- A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
