Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Clinical Research
Job Title
Performs a variety of routine and/or complex laboratory procedures on clinical research specimens; displays a mastery of laboratory techniques, principles, and instrumentation; correlates data required to provide quality information used by physician in the research and development of clinical processes.
Essential Responsibilities- Performs laboratory testing on specimens according to departmental protocol while complying with hospital and department policies regarding safety and infection control. Displays mastery of laboratory techniques, principles, and instrumentation.
- Independently performs all tasks related to the execution of research as defined by the physician/investigator.
- Operates, calibrates, checks, and maintains instrumentation.
- Participates with the review and monitoring of quality control and quality assurance records.
- Demonstrates proper care and handling of laboratory animals.
- Participates in continuing education to ensure growth and development of the laboratory.
- Monitors and evaluates laboratory inventory.
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related science
- Experience with computer software programs
Preferred
- 0-1 years' experience in a research laboratory environment
- Experience in Oncolytic Virus Research for Cancer Treatment
