Job Summary
The Stockroom Clerk assists the Warehousing and Transportation (W/T) Manager in the total operation of the stock room and its related duties.
Essential Functions- Check-in and inspect all incoming deliveries (food and non‑food) for quality, quantity, and acceptable condition; mark with current date;
- Log product or vehicle temperature for refrigerated and frozen goods and rotate stock to follow first‑in‑first‑out standards;
- Maintain cold and dry storage areas in a neat, clean, and sanitary fashion, following HACCP guidelines and department standards;
- Keep storage locations organized to aid in finding or counting product and assist with monthly and/or weekly inventory tallies;
- Picks and pulls products and supplies needed by various dining services departments and locations and delivers them as required;
- In the absence of the W/T Manager, calculate and place orders for food and supplies as directed;
- Assemble and deliver orders made by retail locations, including composting buckets, floor mats, and daily cleaning supplies;
- Maintain vehicle fleet, keeping gas tanks filled, arranging for regular maintenance, inspections, stickers, license plate renewal, cleaning of interiors, and washing of exteriors on a weekly or as needed basis;
- Promote positive relations within and outside of the department.
This position requires frequent squatting, kneeling, navigating stairs, bending, twisting, lifting up to 90 pounds, constant walking, use of both arms and legs, and work in a walk‑in refrigerator (38°F) and walk‑in freezer (‑20°F).
Other RequirementsServ‑Safe Certified or obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
HoursMonday‑Friday 6:30a.m. – 3p.m. with occasional weekend hours.
