Liquor Store Assistant Manager – Vare Avenue, Philadelphia

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 to join our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Vare Avenue in Philadelphia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with the General Manager to lead, motivate, and develop a team, drive sales, and maintain high standards of store presentation.

• Store Operations:
  Oversee daily store functions to ensure policies and procedures are followed
• Team Leadership:
  Guide employees, assign tasks, and provide helpful feedback to support strong performance
• Customer Support:
  Assist shoppers by answering questions and helping them find products
• Inventory Assistance:
  Maintain accurate stock levels and support product display upkeep
• Safety Practices:
  Keep the store clean, safe, and organized for both customers and staff
• Compliance Support:
  Help uphold laws, regulations, and company policies related to alcohol sales

• One year as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of lead retail sales work.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

• Work hours vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.

  The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.
