Bakery Assistant Team Leader

Market District is seeking a Bakery Assistant Team Leader to support our high-energy retail bakery focused on premium products and exceptional service. In this role, you'll help oversee daily bakery production, maintain appealing displays, and ensure freshness, quality, and food safety. You'll assist with task coordination, basic training of team members, and inventory support while delivering friendly, knowledgeable customer service. Responsibilities

• Assist in daily bakery production, including mixing, baking, finishing, and packaging products to Market District quality standards.
• Support team leader in organizing workflow, assigning basic tasks, and helping coordinate daily priorities.
• Maintain attractive product displays, ensure proper labeling, rotation, and stock levels throughout the day.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service, answering product questions and suggesting items.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen handling procedures to meet company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving bakery deliveries, and reporting low stock or quality issues.
• Train and coach new or less-experienced team members on basic bakery tasks and procedures.
• Operate and clean bakery equipment, tools, and work areas according to safety and cleaning schedules.
