Tired of carrying the team and getting a bigger quota as your reward?
You know who you are. You're the rep who closes the hard deals, the one customers actually call back, the one quietly holding up the regional number while the org chart hands the credit somewhere else. You've watched your territory get carved up, your comp plan get "adjusted," and the equity story turn out to be a slide that never became a check.
We're a different kind of seat.
We're a privately held, owner-operated industrial equipment dealer that’s served mail, production print, and packaging customers across the Northeast for decades. The business is entering its next chapter under new ownership, and we're investing in growth from day one: expanded product lines, modern tools, and a real team to build. We're hiring our most senior commercial leader to own the customer relationships, drive new equipment sales, and help write that next chapter.
This is a rainmaker's job with an owner's upside. You'll inherit established customer relationships and an active book of business. You own your territory. You report straight to the owner, no layers, no committee. It's a player‑coach role: you sell personally in year one, then build and lead the team behind you.
What you'll do- Own a defined territory across the Philadelphia metro, New Jersey, and parts of New York into CT
- Inherit and grow a book of existing relationships across production print, mailing, finishing, and industrial manufacturing
- Sell capital equipment in the $50K–$500K+ range through consultative, multi‑stakeholder cycles
- Develop new business in adjacent verticals including packaging and pharma manufacturing
- Partner with our manufacturer principals on joint customer development
- Drive parts, service, and consumables pull‑through within your accounts
- Build and lead a small field sales team starting in year two
- 60% field‑based — customer visits and sales calls across the territory
- 10% travel for manufacturer visits and trade shows
- 8+ years selling industrial capital equipment, B2B services, or technical products to operations and executive buyers
- Direct experience selling print finishing, mailing and inserting, document workflow, or packaging equipment is a strong fit
- Comfortable managing complex 3–12 month sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Technically fluent — you understand how equipment fits into a customer's operation
- A self‑starter who builds pipeline without being told to
- Based in the Philadelphia, NJ, NY, or CT metro region
- Competitive base with uncapped commission; realistic OTE of $180K+ at quota
- 401(k) with company match plus discretionary profit sharing
- Direct reporting line to the owner and a real path to senior leadership
You’ll never wonder who’s making the call, because you’ll be in the room with the person who is. No matrix. No five‑stage approval to discount a deal. No corporate "transformation" quietly gutting your accounts. You bring the relationships and the hustle. We bring the lines, the support, and a comp plan that actually pays when you win.
If you’ve been waiting for the seat where your effort and your income finally line up, this is it.
