About the role
The Director of Solutions Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth and market penetration for eBook products in the Americas. This role focuses on developing market strategy, creating territory plans, and mentoring a sales team to increase high‑value opportunities.
What you'll be doing:- Strategic Revenue Growth: Direct collaborative sales efforts to meet or exceed quotas for specialized product lines, working with sales account managers.
- Product Expertise & Training: Serve as the subject‑matter expert, training sales staff and customer service representatives on product features and benefits.
- Go‑to‑Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing, editorial, and account management to develop market‑specific strategies, identify customer needs, and refine product positioning.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, resolve technical issues, and demonstrate product value.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure revenue achievement and optimize sales efforts and processes.
- Leadership, Mentoring and Sales Process Improvement: Lead a focused team, bridge sales and product teams, and drive continuous improvement.

- Deep knowledge of academic eBook products and offerings.
- Proven experience developing proposals and strategies that deliver commercial return.
- Demonstrated history of sales experience with accountability and revitalization of an existing customer base.
- Knowledge of academic research and/or higher education sectors.
- Significant team leadership/mentorship experience.
- Ability to plan and manage projects and budgets.
- Experience building alignment between product, marketing, and subject‑matter experts.
- Ability to interact with senior executives and facilitate decisions.
- Data‑driven sales strategy development.
- Line management experience.

- Annual base salary range of $150,000–$175,000 + up to 30% bonus if OTE achieved. Base salary commensurate with experience.
