Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Chemistry and Science Laboratory Technician. This is a regular part‑time position that will begin immediately. Flexible work schedule available to support the needs of the labs.

• Prepare materials and procure needed supplies for the Chemistry labs on Main Campus.
• Manage chemical stock.
• Assist the Coordinator of Science and Technology Labs in managing hazardous waste and maintaining safe working conditions.
• Maintain Chemistry’s SDS books and lists.
• Supervise student workers while in chemistry.
• Maintain organization and physical and chemical cleanliness.
• Arrange for repair of equipment.
• Provide needed or emergency coverage for Biology when possible.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of experience in chemistry or biology laboratory work.
• Valid driver’s license.

Hourly rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
