As a Software Engineering Manager Sr within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX.
Role Summary
Senior technology leader responsible for enterprise sanctions screening and AML technology, with primary ownership of Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions (Firco Soft) platforms supporting real time payments screening, politically exposed persons (PEP), and customer/watchlist screening across a Tier 1 banking environment.
This role owns platform strategy, delivery, data quality, integrations, and regulatory readiness, partnering closely with AML Compliance, Sanctions Advisory, Payments, and Operations.

Key Focus Areas (Non Negotiable)
- Firco Soft / LNRS ownership for:
o Real time payments screening (SWIFT, ISO 20022, ACH, Fedwire, RTP)
o Customer & counter party watchlist screening
o PEP, sanctions, adverse media, vessel, and high risk entity screening
- End to end accountability for screening accuracy, throughput, false positive reduction, and auditability

Core Responsibilities
- Own architecture, roadmap, and operations for Firco Soft platforms
- Lead real time transaction screening design and optimization for high volume payment flows
- Govern watchlist ingestion, versioning, lineage, and controls (OFAC, PEPs, global sanctions)
- Drive false positive reduction through:
o Firco model tuning and algorithm configuration
o Data quality improvements and rule optimization
- Ensure regulatory ready controls:
o Full audit trails, decision traceability, model governance
o Alignment to OFAC, FFIEC, OCC expectations
- Oversee system integrations:
o Payments platforms, onboarding/KYC, case management, workflow tools
- Partner with AML Ops to improve alert automation, straight through processing, and investigator productivity
- Lead vendor strategy and delivery governance with Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions
- Manage and develop senior engineering, data, and platform teams

Required Experience
- 10-15+ years in AML / Financial Crime technology leadership within large, regulated US banks
- Hands on leadership experience supporting Firco Soft implementations, specifically:
o Real time payments screening
o Customer/watchlist and PEP screening
- Deep understanding of:
o Sanctions compliance (OFAC)
o AML screening data, matching logic, and alerting behavior
- Proven experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, and remediation
- Strong background in enterprise data flows, integrations, and platform resiliency

Strongly Preferred / Plus Experience
- Actimize (transaction monitoring, sanctions, or case management)
- Work Fusion or similar intelligent automation / RPA platforms for AML
- Agentic / AI driven Bots for:
o Alert triage
o Decision automation
o Operational efficiency in AML workflows
- Cloud deployment experience:
o Hybrid or cloud hosted AML platforms
o Secure, regulated cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience integrating screening platforms with case management and workflow tools
- CGSS, CAMS, or equivalent certifications
