Venue Security Supervisor
Citizens Live at The Wylie is seeking a Venue Security Supervisor, responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of the security department and staff within the venue. Duties may also include management functions under the direction of the Security Manager and Operations Manager.

This Role Will Do:
- Direct and supervise security staff and other employees performing security services for guests.
- Work in conjunction with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
- Greet and assist guests, and respond to guest inquiries and complaints.
- Assign, oversee, and train security staff on duties such as entrance screening, access control, crowd control, monitoring guest behavior, etc.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Moves throughout assigned area to visually monitor and take corrective action when needed.
- Ensure all security staff members are well-informed on event and position specific details.
- Assist with managing security staff breaks.
- Oversee productivity and work assignments of the security staff and communicate with the Security Manager any challenges and status of all assignments prior to the conclusion of the shift.
- Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
- Partner with fellow crew members at the end of show to close the venue—this may include ensuring all guests are gone, removing trash from seated areas and GA floor, breaking down and putting away equipment, and assisting with staff checkout and uniform collection.
- Be a role model and enforce safety, health, and security priorities.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Security Manager.
This Person Will Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a live music environment.
- Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures in an event venue.
- Ability to work various, flexible hours, inclusive of nights and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud, stressful environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
- A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+ and occasional sitting.
