Position Summary

The Mobile Unit Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment for clients, employees, visitors, and organizational property. This position provides visible security presence outside the facility and in designated mobile unit areas, monitors activity on and around the premises, responds appropriately to safety concerns, and assists with de-escalation and emergency response when needed. The role requires sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while representing Tadiso, Inc.

in a respectful and mission-focused manner.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid armed security certification, Act 235 certification, or other applicable state-required armed security credentials, as required by law.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel or move between assigned outdoor/mobile unit areas as needed.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, public safety, military service, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and monitor outdoor areas for extended periods of time.
  • Strong verbal communication, observation, documentation, and conflict de-escalation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and organizational policies.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing security services in a healthcare, behavioral health, substance use treatment, community-based, or high-traffic public setting.
  • Training in crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, trauma-informed response, CPR/First Aid, or emergency preparedness.
  • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
  • Knowledge of local emergency response procedures and professional boundaries in a treatment environment.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence outside the facility, near mobile unit areas, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned outdoor locations.
  • Monitor client, visitor, vehicle, and pedestrian activity to identify safety concerns, suspicious behavior, or potential threats.
  • Assist with maintaining order and promoting a safe environment for staff, clients, visitors, and the surrounding community.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents, emergencies, disturbances, medical concerns, or safety-related calls for assistance.
  • Use verbal de-escalation techniques and sound judgment to manage conflict while minimizing risk and maintaining professionalism.
  • Contact supervisors, law enforcement, emergency medical services, or other appropriate responders when necessary.
  • Prepare accurate written incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation as required.
  • Follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, firearm safety standards, and organizational policies related to armed security services.
  • Protect confidential information and maintain professional boundaries with clients, employees, visitors, and community members.
  • Inspect assigned outdoor areas and report hazards, maintenance concerns, unauthorized activity, or safety risks.
  • Support emergency drills, evacuation procedures, and safety protocols as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational safety and operations.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response practices, and professional use-of-force standards.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, and restraint in sensitive or high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, employees, visitors, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to document incidents accurately and objectively.
  • Ability to work independently while following supervisory direction and organizational protocols.
