Description
FS-Elliott is expanding our Field Service team! We're seeking a skilled Service Technician responsible for equipment installations for the start-up, commission, preventative maintenance, and repair of our centrifugal compressor packages and equipment on-site. Additional responsibilities to provide technical support, training, and feedback related to our machines
This is a hands-on role where technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction are essential.
Responsibilities
• Performs on-site start-up assistance, overhauls/repairs, maintenance and troubleshooting. Obtains first-hand information when troubles exist. Responsible for implementing corrective steps.
• Provides professional troubleshooting and technical support. Executes assignments with guidance from experienced service persons.
• Promotes and practices proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.
• Completes work order forms and other job-related paperwork on a daily basis.
• Reports equipment troubles. Enters such feedback into company databases.
• Presents training programs to channel partners and customers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
Education:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent, or three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong problem-solving and process analysis skills.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and adaptable; able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Strong customer-centric attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality service.
- Broad understanding of safety, health, and environmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) and work outside of standard business hours when necessary (with appropriate notice).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Unescorted Site Access, including passing a drug screening process.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to actively listen and convey technical information clearly and effectively.
