Overhead Lines Foreperson

Pittsburgh Regional Transit is seeking a Overhead Lines Working Foreperson to perform a variety of assignments related, but not limited to, preventive and corrective maintenance on the Pittsburgh Regional Transits Overhead Catenary System (O

Essential Functions:

* Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and provide diagnostic analysis for all components of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS).

* Lead a crew of overhead personnel in the execution and completion of prescribed work assignments, emergency repairs to re-establish service and to assist in any and all work procedures and practices necessary for job completion.

* Ensure accurate and clear execution of paperwork and reports pertaining to status of prescribed assignments and tasks.

* Ensure that assigned crew adheres to safety, quality, and time constraints in the performance of assigned tasks.

* Operate vehicles and equipment, as needed.

Job requirements include:

* High School Diploma or GED.
* Trade Certification or equivalent and three (3) years of directly related work experience as an electrician or line person with low, medium, and high voltage electrical experience; or five (5) years of directly related work experience within the past ten (10) years; or four (4) years of experience in Pittsburgh Regional Transit Power Department.
* Ability to understand plans, schematics, operating and service manuals.
* Valid PA Drivers License, Class

C.
* Obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License, Class B with air brake restriction removed within 90 working days.
* Successful completion of job specific training, as required.
* This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to all testing provisions under the Drug and Alcohol Policy, including random drug and alcohol testing. The person selected for this position may be required to be tested prior to being awarded the job.
