Job Description
As an Entry Level Field Laborer, or Energy Technician, you will be the front‑line to clients as they receive services that make their homes safer and more comfortable — all while saving them money on their utility bills. This is not a sales position, nor are we an energy supplier/seller. Our team of passionate, skilled energy efficiency professionals work with local utility programs to deliver FREE Energy Conservation programs in our communities.

- Learn to conduct home energy assessments and evaluations in customers’ homes, including entering attics, basements, crawl spaces, and garages.
- Record and report necessary data by electronic or manual methods to adhere to program requirements.
- Install energy‑saving measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, light bulbs, shower heads, baseboards, thermostats, and electric water heaters.
- Act as a local, customer‑facing program and company representative to encourage participation and overcome barriers to energy savings.
- Travel daily throughout a defined service territory; company vehicle provided.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure quality service and installations.
- Ability to pass required background and drug testing.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and no history of major driving infractions.
- Will be located within commuting distance to York, PA and surrounding areas.
Sit, stand, or walk for extended periods. Crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach often. Use repetitive hand motion and basic hand and power tools. Use a ladder at heights up to 2 stories. Lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) during certain times of the year for portions of the day.
CompensationTarget Compensation: $20.25 per hour. Compensation is determined based on internal equity, salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, and certain degrees or certifications. This position is hourly.
Safety InformationThis is a safety‑sensitive position and may include field work, industrial/commercial locations, warehouse work, or driving on behalf of the company. Successful hires must pass pre‑employment checks, including a post‑offer pre‑employment drug test and a motor vehicle report. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
