As a Corrections Plumbing Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties:
- Trade Instruction: Teach plumbing skills, systems, and methods through classroom lessons and hands-on training
- Crew Supervision: Direct inmate work crews, assign schedules, and review completed plumbing tasks
- Tool Management: Issue, track, and account for tools and materials used during training and work assignments
- Material Planning: Identify needed supplies and submit requests to support plumbing projects
- Record Keeping: Maintain documentation of inmate attendance, progress, and work details
- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,868.00 (before taxes). A higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

- Five years of experience in the inspection, maintenance, repair, assembly, and installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures used in heating, water, and drainage systems; or
- Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the plumbing trade; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the plumbing trade.
- You must successfully complete basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
