Aerotek is hiring for a Concrete Finisher with weekly pay!

$25-30/HR depending on experience

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The position operates on the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in Pittsburgh, PA typically near the strip district!

• Grade, set up, pour, and finish concrete surfaces including floors, sidewalks, curbs, and stairs.
• Grade to proper elevations using skid steers, shovels, and rakes, and check heights using lasers and string lines.
• Construct wooden forms and position forms to hold concrete at the correct depth, ensuring proper alignment.
• Install expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as required.
• Monitor site conditions, ground temperature, air temperature, and humidity levels to adjust mix designs for proper set times.
• Spread and level concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures into poured concrete before it hardens.
• Finish surfaces to produce the final product using brooms, hand tools, power trowels, and riding trowels.

• Previous experience as a concrete finisher or form carpenter, ideally in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including tape measure, hand trowel, straight edge, and nail gun.
• Ability to work flexible hours during normal construction shift hours.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs for extended periods.
• Comfortable with ladders and wearing all proper PPE and safety equipment.

• Experience in concrete, construction, and carpentry.
• Skills in concrete finishing, pouring, rough carpentry, and masonry.
• ACI Certification and supervisory skills are a plus.
• Experience in commercial construction.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
