SUMMARY
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and repair of CHIRON Group CNC machining centers with total customer satisfaction in mind and ensuring the users of Chiron machines are satisfied with its performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machining centers.
- Setup, install, and commission of CNC machines and install retrofits.
- Conduct training on the operation and maintenance of CNC machining centers.
- Assure machine performance to the OEM specification.
- Render technical advice and act as a trusted advisor to customers.
- Provide detailed reports upon completion of service jobs.
- Maintain good communication with Service Department personnel both remote and at the headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- 100% nationwide travel including some travel to Canada, Mexico and Germany.
- Work nights and weekends if necessary.
- Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques on CNC machining centers.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Decision maker with positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Intermediate computer skills and Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
- Self-motivated, customer‑centric.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing up to 5‑Axis CNC machining centers required.
- Experience working on CHIRON machining centers, Fanuc or Siemens Control desired.
- Valid driver’s license/passport required.
