Installation Field Technician
The Installation Field Technician is primarily responsible for installing and servicing commercial security products including intrusion, access control, video, and fire systems.
Position Responsibilities- Install and service commercial security devices/systems including intrusion, access control, video, and fire
- Complete final system testing upon completion of installation or service
- Interpret scopes of work and blueprints
- Abide by building code standards and company safety standards
- Identify and prepare pathways and supports for new cabling system installations
- Pull copper and coaxial cable in backbone, horizontal and riser environments
- Exhibit professional appearance and conduct
- Communicate with Service Coordinators, Technicians, Project Managers, Field Managers and other co-workers as required regarding project or call status
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Participate in on-call schedule
- Experience with Software House CCure 9000, preferably certified
- Experience with:
Access control - Intrusion systems (Burglar Systems)
- CCTV systems
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of electronics and excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to program a plus
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Technical degree in electronics or equivalent work experience
- Experience performing installation duties in commercial security or related industries
- Valid driver's license with clear driving record
- Ability to drive to and from work office and work sites
