Corrections Maintenance Foreman - SCI Phoenix

THE POSITION

This role focuses on leading inmate work crews as they complete important maintenance and construction tasks through out SCI Phoenix. Work i nvolves coordinating schedules, inspecting completed tasks, and supporting maintenance needs across multiple trades. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:

• Crew Leadership:
  Direct inmate work crews performing routine construction, maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, and janitorial tasks
• Work Inspection:
  Review completed assignments and ensure they meet facility standards
• Equipment Guidance:
  Teach proper use and preventive care of machinery and vehicles
• Tool Control:
  Issue, track, and account for all tools and materials used for work assignments
• Purchasing Support:
  Identify needed materials and submit purchase requests
• Trade Assistance:
  Assist staff with semi-skilled and skilled tasks in multiple trades

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Sunday - Thursday.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
• Telework:
  You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary:
  
  Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,010. 00 (before taxes). A higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

• Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required .
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
