YWCA Lancaster is looking for full-time Housing Services Coordinator, who is an integral part of our team.

What your day looks like:

Housing Intake and Applicant Coordination
  • Manage and maintain housing waitlists in accordance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
  • Respond to housing inquiries from prospective residents, referral sources, and community partners.
  • Conduct applicant screenings and assisting applicants to complete required documentation from initial inquiry through move-in.
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
Lease and Resident File Management
  • Prepare, process, and maintain leases, occupancy agreements, and related housing documentation.
  • Monitor lease expiration dates and coordinate lease renewals, amendments, and updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical resident files.
  • Track and obtain required resident documentation, including income verification, identification, releases of information, and other compliance-related records.
  • Conduct regular file audits to ensure completeness, accuracy, and ongoing compliance.
  • Enter and maintain resident data within agency databases and electronic record systems.
Resident Housing and Case Management Support
  • Assist residents with identifying and securing permanent housing opportunities.
  • Support residents through housing search activities, including completing applications and gathering required documentation.
  • Educate residents on lease responsibilities, tenant rights, and successful tenancy practices.
  • Coordinate with case managers and other staff to address housing barriers and support housing stability.
  • Assist residents during housing transitions, including moves to more independent or permanent housing settings.
Community Partnership and Landlord Relations
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with landlords, property managers, housing authorities, and local housing providers.
  • Cultivate partnerships with landlords, property managers, nonprofit agencies, cand local housing resources to expand housing opportunities for residents.
  • Coordinate housing referrals and facilitate communication among residents, landlords, and service providers.
  • Maintain a current inventory of community housing resources and available housing units.
Other Duties
  • Provide administrative support related to housing operations as assigned.
  • Rotate on the on-call schedule, one week per month to answer emergency calls or lock-outs
  • Participate in required trainings and professional development activities.
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a health-related field (including mental health).
  • Minimum of 2 years working in housing services, property management, social services, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Experience working with unhoused or under-housed populations and knowledge of local services, community partners, and resources strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and with ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  • Demonstrated commitment to a trauma-informed workplace that balances kindness, competence, and care toward self, colleagues, and populations served.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database software.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to complete YWCA Lancaster’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Counseling Training Course, plus 12 hours of additional related training, upon hire.
