Numbers Software Engineer - Visual Productivity

Do you want to build features for the millions of users that depend on tables, charts, and spreadsheets in their daily lives? The Numbers team in Apple's Visual Productivity Apps group is looking for an engineer to help build the future of iWork, Freeform, and other apps for visual creation.

As an engineer on the Numbers team, you will contribute to exciting and powerful features in tables, charts, and spreadsheets that are used across Apple apps like Freeform, Keynote, Numbers, and Pages. The role focuses on building calculation and data visualization technologies both for Numbers and other applications in the Creator Studio suite. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to design, prototype, and implement features that delight our users while helping them do their best work with our applications.

Ability to work on complex, ambiguous problems and drive solutions end-to-end. Ability to reason about performance, concurrency, memory management, and system behavior. Experience working on complex, long-lived codebases.

Experience with data visualization workflows

Experience with macOS and/or iOS internals. graphics programming, especially Core Graphics or Metal

4 years experience with Objective C, Swift, or C++. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience with Apple's APIs.

Experience with data structures and algorithms, including performance analysis.
