Snow Removal Equipment Operator​/Driver

JOB SUMMARY

A Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver is responsible for driving a truck for snow removal or salt dispensing, and/or operating equipment used in the snow or ice removal process. As a Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

• Be experienced in driving in winter weather conditions.
• Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested.
• Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events.
• Safely drive a snowplow truck or salt truck in various and potentially extreme weather conditions including snow, rain, ice, etc.
• Operate snow or ice removal equipment such as front-end loader, plow truck, skid steer, and sidewalk machine (ATV, RTV, etc.).
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Must be self-motivated.

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards is required for operation of vehicle. This is not required for equipment operation. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently. 1-2 years of experience running snow/ice removal equipment, is preferred.
