Logistics Coordinator
LHH is partnering with a growing company near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to hire a Logistics Coordinator on a contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with transportation industry experience and a strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hazmat shipping requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment status and transportation needs
- Track shipments and resolve transportation issues in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, Hazmat, and transportation documentation
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and hazardous materials shipping requirements
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with supply chain coordination
- Update shipment information in company systems and maintain accurate records
- Research and resolve delivery discrepancies and customer concerns
- Support the logistics and operations team with additional administrative duties as needed
- Required:
Transportation and logistics experience - Required:
Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat shipping requirements - Experience coordinating freight shipments and working with carriers
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with ERP systems or Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred
