This position focuses on evaluating driver license applicants and providing customer service at the Driver License Center. As a Driver License Examiner, you will perform the following duties:

• Exam Applicant
  
  Skills:
  
  Assess driving ability, physical qualifications, and vision results
• Check Vehicle Safety:
  Inspect vehicles for mechanical readiness and proper equipment
• Verify Documents:
  Review identity, residency, and citizenship records for authenticity
• Process Licensing Tasks:
  Complete applications, test results, and issue license products
• Support Customer Needs:
  Provide guidance on renewals, transfers, and specialty license requirements
• Maintain Standards:
  Follow all policies for customer service, REAL , fee waivers, and Title VI

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Work overtime and travel to other Driver License Centers when needed.
• Telework:
  You will not have the option to telework in this position.

• One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant ( Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration ); or
• Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

• All positions require an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application.
• All positions require no suspensions or revocations of a driver’s license during the five year period immediately preceding employment.
• All employees in this job hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver’s license within the first six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment.
