Job DescriptionThe teacher is the district's primary agent for instruction with responsibility for presenting the prescribed curriculum effectively and employing a diagnostic/prescriptive approach to identification and subsequent adaptation to the needs and interests of the students.
Responsibilities- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum content
- Plan and assess instruction and curriculum
- Maintain classroom management
- Plan and deliver effective instruction
- Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement

Job Requirements- Anticipated positions – one position for the 2026/27 school year only
- One elementary school assignment to be decided
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred - MA DESE Certification in English as a Second Language PreK-8
- Experience working with multilingual learners in an elementary public‑school setting preferred. Knowledge of WIDA standards, culturally responsive practices, and strategies for multilingual learners, including SLIFE and students with disabilities.
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse multilingual learners, including newcomers, SLIFE, and students with disabilities. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and create engaging, inclusive learning environments to support English language acquisition.
