Full-time contract opportunities are available for Special Education Teachers passionate about working in substantially separate classrooms serving students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. These engaging roles are onsite and ideal for educators who thrive in dynamic, supportive environments. Both K1st grade and 3rd5th grade classrooms are currently in need of skilled professionals for the school year.
Preferred candidates are experienced in delivering specially designed instruction and utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques. The classroom settings feature students who may have complex needs, including those who are non-verbal, on the autism spectrum, or require regular toileting assistance. Some students also receive support from a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), ensuring a collaborative approach to student growth.
Requirements:- Valid Special Education Teacher license, with certification appropriate for elementary grades
- Prior experience teaching children with severe cognitive and physical disabilities
- Familiarity with supporting students who are non-verbal and/or on the autism spectrum
- Comfort with toileting support as part of daily classroom routines
- Skilled in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience with applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction highly preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to an onsite, full-time contract schedule
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction for K1st or 3rd5th grade students in a substantially separate classroom setting
- Collaborate with RBTs and other support staff
- Develop lesson plans tailored to students with significant needs
- Support personal care needs, including toileting, as required
- Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for all learners
