ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Director of Social Emotional Learning and Student Support will report to the Assistant Superintendent for College and Career Readiness and Student Support.
  • Design and evaluate district-wide SEL curricula and student support programs.
  • Support the effective implementation of SEL curricula and interventions at the school and classroom levels through training, coaching, and other strategies.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to counselors, social workers, and school-based support staff.
  • Develop and monitor systems, such as MTSS/PBIS frameworks, that assess SEL skills and ensure students receive timely academic, behavioral, and emotional support.
  • Partner with principals and teachers to build positive, inclusive, and supportive school climates.
  • Analyze student data to identify student needs, close gaps, improve systems, and measure program impact.
